this is our history

In December 2013, Pastor Vincent and Joy received the vision to plant a diverse, mission-driven, Christ centered church in Denton, Texas. They hosted the first vision meeting at their home in June 2014 where they unveiled to family and friends God's calling to plant Cross Church. The plan was put into action starting with weekly Bible study and community outreach activities. In October of that year, Cross Church began having weekly preview worship services and the vision was becoming a reality. 

In January 2015,  Cross Church Cross Church officially launched . While others planted in schools, Pastor Vincent instead had a different vision to plant in a movie theater. He approached Silver Cinema Theater about hosting services at their location and they concurred providing a unique environment for our contemporary worship service.  

In January 2016, we realized that we need a space of our own. So, Cross Church relocated from the movie theater to our current worship location at 1100 Dallas Drive in Denton, Texas.  Having our own facility not only meant we had a place to worship but also a place to serve.  Later in 2016 we started a monthly food pantry and outreach to the homeless community. 

In July 2018, we  expanded our facility to provide more space in our worship and children's area.  This additional space also allowed us to better serve the community.  We've also expanded our leadership team and ministries allowing us to better pursue our mission to reach the lost and build the believer. 

Even though our history is short our future is bright.  In July 2021, we again are expanding in our current location and are excited about what God has in store for Cross Church.  We invite you to share in our story because the best is yet to come .
